Hello and welcome to the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog Blog Hop! Thank you for joining us for a look at many of the new products featured in the catalog launching in a few days. Each member of the hop has featured a different stamp set. For my card, I used the Love and Happiness Bundle.

This features a stampset with many wedding/love sayings and greetings, dies that coordinate with them, and some hearts and flowers. The really cool thing about this though, is the hybrid embossing folder. Not many of our bundles include an embossing folder, but this one does. So it comes with a stamp set, dies, and an embossing folder. The reason it all comes together is because the largest heart sits right in the folder and you can emboss the background and heart, as well as cut the heart out in the same pass through the machine.

I chose to make a nice and pretty valentine for todays hop. Not any fancy folds or lots of embellishments on this one, clean and pretty. To make this card, I started with a card base in basic white. This measured 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Next I cut a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock which measured 4 x 5 1/4. This provides a nice background for the more intricate patterns on the rest of the card.

To make the white textured panel, I cut a piece of basic white to 6 x 6, centered it in the embossing folder and loaded the heart into the indent on the embossing folder. When I ran it through, it made a beautiful heart cut out from the center of the 6 x 6 embossed panel. To get the right size, I cut a bit from each of the four sides until I got a square the looked even around the heart. Once that was set, I took a piece of hand penned Designer Series paper and cut it to fit behind the heart.

For the sentiment and the smaller heart, I stamped the “valentines greeting” in misty moonlight on a piece of scrap paper. To keep the die in place, I used a post it. Then I took the small heart die and placed it on the larger heart that the hybrid embossing folder cut out earlier. This gave me a cute embossed heart. I used flirty flamingo stampin’ blends to color the heart and a little color lifter to add even more dimension.

I used Dimentionals to pop up the heart frame and the little heart, but everything else I adhered with liquid glue.

Thank you so much for taking a look at all of the wonderful projects today in our Mini-Catalog blog hop. I hope you are really excited for the launch on Jan 4th. If you missed anyone a list is located below the previous and next buttons and you can click on whichever one you like. Happy Crafting!
