Hello everyone! Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop! Today’s theme is Celebrate Spring and what better way than with the Flowering Tulips bundle! For this card I used the Tulips dies to build bright and fun tulips.

To start out, I used an easel card base, which means I cut basic white card stock at 4 1/4 x 11 and then scored it at 5 1/2. Right over that I used a panel of Basic White (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) embossed with the painted texture embossing folder. I adhered this with liquid glue and covered the entire front.

The next panel I used Granny Apple Green cardstock and one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. To give it some visual interest, I used one of the the tulip stamps. Instead of using color on color ink, I used Versamark. This is a great way to stamp a darker color on the cardstock without having to have every single ink. It stamps the image as a darker version of whatever cardstock you are using. I adhered this down with with Stampin’ Seal.

Next I took another panel of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with the biggest Stitched So Sweetly die. This gives a nice background for our bright tulips. For each tulip I cut three shapes, two in the brighter color and one in the lighter color. From top to bottom the colors are Gorgeous Grape with Highland Heather, So Saffron and Mango Melody, and lastly Melon Mambo with Flirty Flamingo. To attach the panel I used Dimensionals, but for the tulips I used glue dots, I found they were really great to get into all the little nooks and crannies without hassle.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Stampset in Granny Apple Green and placed some of the pretty Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels on for some sparkle.

I enjoyed playing with these tulip dies and you will most definitely see more of them! Thanks for taking a look. I know you will also enjoy the cards that the rest of the Krew has made. Happy Stamping!
