Hello Everyone! Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew Blog hop! This months theme is For the Ladies/Girls and I chose to create a Mother’s Day card. I hope you enjoy what I came up with.

To start out, I used the larger card base from the Heart and Home Cards and Envelopes, the Misty moonlight stripes are just so pretty. Then, I chopped up one of the smaller cards for the wooden look panel. I then matted that on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the large floral image in tuxedo black ink on basic white cardstock and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I kept the colors simple and really love the way it came out.

I used the sentiments “You’re the nicest” and “Best of Luck” from the Honeybee Home Stamp-set to create my own saying of “you’re the best”. To do this I just cut around the stamps I wanted to use and tossed the rest. For the word Mom, I used the soon to be retired Alphabet dies on Misty Moonlight card stock. When glueing everything down, I used liquid glue for all the panels and the word “mom” but popped the rest up on Dimensionals to give a little texture.

Last touch on the outside was the rhinestones! I sprinkled a little sparkle all around using the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels, these little beauties sold out way too fast, but if you want something similar I can point you in the right direction.

For the inside of the card I used tuxedo black ink and the big flower image once again. I like putting images inside because the more space you take up with pretty pictures the less you have to figure out what to write!

That’s really all for this one, straight forward and simple, but oh so pretty! If you want the measurements for the paper I used, go ahead and scroll all the way to the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look, I know you will enjoy what the other members of the Krew have made as you hop along as well, we have a great group of talented card makers!
