Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today is blog hop day! The theme of todays blog hop is ”Fall Frenzy” and I used the Stampin’ Up! Ringed with Nature stamp set and coordinating Ringed with Love DSP to create my card. You can find all the card stock measurements at the very bottom of this blog. I hope you enjoy it!

Its that time of year where my brain switches from YAY its summer to, oh boy Fall is coming. I really enjoy all the seasons as I live in upstate New York where we get a good showing of all 4 and fall is definitely one of my favorites, but my brain likes to switch too early for my liking. Its still in the 90’s round here brain, stop it!

Anyway, on to my card, to start off I used a card base in Evening Evergreen. I then added a panel of Soft Suede. I used the Ringed with Nature stamp set with Soft Suede ink ti create the background on that panel but first stamping the large tree ring image and then filling in the more bare spots with the dots.

Next, I took the Ringed with Love designer series paper and I fussy cut out one of the large tree rings and a set of mushrooms. Don’t forget when you are fussy cutting to leave a little bit of room around your edge incase you hand slips. Also, it doesn’t have to be perfect! For the White Frayed Ribbon, I used Evening Evergreen ink and my water painter to dye the ribbon. You could also used a blender pen if you prefer, but you would likely get a darker color.

For the sentiment I used White Craft Stampin’ Ink on a scrap of Evening Evergreen. I fussy cut these out as well. I wanted to make sure there was enough room around them and didn’t see a die that stood out to me as giving me that. I played with adding a white border around and while it would have been work if it looked good than it would be worth it but I tried it and it just looked ok. I like it better without.

For the inside I used the same White Craft ink and stamped our little mushrooms image from the Ringed with Nature stamp set. This is a two step stamp, so you stamp the stems first and then the caps. It just adds a little touch to the inside. I didn’t stamp an inside sentiment yet, because I usually wait until I know who I am sending the card to for that. For the envelope, I cut the Ringed with Love DSP down to about 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 maybe a bit bigger. Then using liquid glue glues it to the envelope flap leaving a tad white near the fold. Be sure you look at the direction you want the pattern to be in as I almost put it on upside down at first.

To put it all together, I used Liquid glue for the Soft Suede panel, Tear n Tape for the ribbon, and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the rest of the elements. For a finishing touch I used Basic Rhinestones to add a bit of sparkle. I colored them with my Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend marker so that they fit into the color scheme a bit better. Thats my ”fall frenzy” card, I hope you learned a couple tricks from reading. I know you will enjoy and learn many more from the rest of the hop below.
