Hello! Last night I had a blast on zoom putting together this months Paper Pumpkin kit with some friends. It was the first one of hopefully many zoom get togethers! This months kit has a lot of really great nature scenes in it and was pretty straightforward to put together. Only struggle I had was with the circle of twine, which still looks cool, but not exactly a circle.

The first card we put together was the Happy Birthday one. We started by stamping the Happy Birthday with a Mango Melody Stampin spot that came in the kit. This goes on three of the littler white rectangles. After that, we popped them out. Next we wrapped the twine around the blue nature scene card three times and tied it in the back. To affix the panel to the front of the card we used the mini Stampin’ dimentionals that come in the kit. (This pops the back piece off enough that the knot is easily hidden behind without bumps on the front). Lastly we used the dimentionals again to put the panels on 3 in a row.

For the second card, the first thing we did was stamp the Here’s to you sentiment on one of the bigger white panels. Then we circled the twine and adhered it to the back of the sentiment panel. The instructions tell you to place a mini dimentional, then add a glue dot, then space for the twine, another glue dot and lastly a mini dimentional. The twine goes right on the glue dots. Once that was done we set it aside while we put the tree cut out on the card base with mini dimentionals, then we placed the sentiment and twine on.

Lastly we stamped the birds on the yellow panel between the clouds and placed mini dimentionals on all the other rectangles. The examples showed the placement as off centered and so we put each of those on and called it done. Each person in the group decided to do different things on the inside and we talked about how to use the envelope liners for the envelope. Most of us thought we’d probably use them for other card projects instead though. Below is the unboxing video that paper pumpkin has on their YouTube channel if you’d like to see exactly what came in it.

Next months paper pumpkin kit is called So Cool and is available to order until April 10th. You can subscribe with me here.
