Hi Everyone! We’re back with another Inkin’ Krew blog hop! This months theme is “Celebrate Summer” What’s a better way to celebrate summer than with a yummy ice cream cone? Delicious!

To start off I grabbed a card base in Blushing Bride. Next, using pg 48 of the Jan-June Mini- Catalog as inspiration, I grabbed my stitched rectangle dies. The biggest one I used to cut out the stripes from the Host DSP pack, and one of the smaller rectangles to cut out a panel of white.

For the Ice Cream Cone, I used my punch and made three scoops, one in blushing bride, one in flirty flamingo, and one in poppy parade. For extra texture, I got out my Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder and ran that through my Cut n Emboss machine. For the cone I used soft suede ink. For the background I stamped off once to have a lighter shade, then I used full strength for the cross hatch detail. Next I punched the stamped image out.

I used flirty flamingo and blushing bride ink to add the splotches, and stamped Happy Birthday in Poppy Parade. To adhere the layers down I used stamp n seal and for the Ice cream cone I used full size dimentionals. As a finishing touch, I added a few silver and clear epoxy essentials to make little drips.

Thanks again for checking out my blog! I know you will also enjoy the rest of the Krew’s creations. Follow along below!
