Hello again! Today I am talking about the January Paper pumpkin kit Kisses and Hugs. It came with supplies to make 10 tri-fold cards. 5 cards each of 2 fun designs. I always can’t wait to see what they have come up with when my kit comes. Even as a demonstrator its always a surprise!
The first card, is designed for a friend which I LOVE! Somewhere between childhood and adulthood Valentines Day became about sappy romance, but I love seeing how my 7 year old daughter looks at it. It’s a time to make your friends a bunch of Valentines and give them stickers and candy and to get fun cards and stickers and candy and to tell your friends how much you love being friends. I think if we all looked at it this way, it would be way more fun as adults too! This one calls for two stamps, “Friend” and “For you”. This kit has its own directions, but to summarize you pop out the pieces, then stamp each sentiment and place them on the card fronts with Dimensionals (also included). The finishing touch is placing the sequins around each of the sentiments.
The second card can be for anyone you care about, with the “For You” and “Love you more” sentiments. To put this one together, you do the same things as above, punch out the pieces, stamp the sentiments, place everything on with Dimentionals and then finish with sequins! One thing you want to watch out for is to make sure when you put the Dimentionals on the vellum they’re more toward the middle so they don’t show through on the front.
Here’s a look at both designs next to each other, aren’t they so cute? You can also do whatever you want creatively to make these cards your own. You can do it exactly they way they suggest, or you can create your own designs with the parts of the kit.
Here you can see the stamp-set that came with the kit. You can do all sorts of things with this set. You can use the stamp sets to make your own patterned paper, or background. If you don’t like the way they put the words together you can mix them up to say other things like “for you friend” or “sending you love”. So many ways to have fun with this kit.
