Hello! I am happy to be back doing lives again and am excited to share with you the card I made Tuesday night. All of the measurements will be listed at the bottom of this post. I used two different stamp sets for this card, Ringed with Nature and Amazing Phrasing. If you would like to catch me next time, I go live each Tuesday at 7:30pm and would love to have you join in!
There were a couple different things that came in to the design of this card. One is Stampin’ Up! has issued us demonstrators a #creativechallengeSU using the following sketch, and the other is that Sale-a-bration is in full swing, and I wanted to highlight some of those products. (Unfortunately the tree lot dies are no longer available)
I started out with a A2 sized card base in Basic White. I then took Soft Suede ink and stamped the tree ring stamp from the Ringed with Nature stamp set on it in a random fashion to create a background for my three panels. I matted this on Evening Evergreen card stock and affixed with with liquid glue. I tried it first without anything on the white panel and just thought it needed a little extra.
Next I took the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper and cut 3 strips. I matted them on Soft Suede card stock, and again used liquid glue to adhere them together. For my die cut pieces I used Evening Evergreen, Mint Macaron, Soft Suede and Gray Granite. To place these elements on my card I again used liquid glue. I find that it gives me the precision that I need when working with small bits and pieces.
For my sentiments I used the ”Hey” and the ”You’ve got this” from the Amazing Phrasing stamp set, and the “Get Well soon” from the Ringed with Nature stamp set. I stamped them in Mint Macaron on Basic White card stock and I used my scissors to gently cut around each of the phrases. The trick is to leave a little bit of space so if you mess up you don’t cut off a letter, and to go reallllly slow. I adhered these on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For a finishing touch, I placed glossy dots onto each circle on the die cut light string to look like twinkle lights. I always loved seeing the campers with these when I was camping as a kid and for some reason always seemed to think it meant the people in them were kind. Don’t forget , if you plan to make this, the measurements for all the cuts are at the bottom.
