Hello! Today’s card is a fun springy card using the Hello Lady Bug Bundle. This bundle is a stampset and a punch. The punch has a body for the lady bug and wings. The DSP that I used reminds me of a picnic blanket on a sunny late spring afternoon.

To start out I used a card base in real red cardstock, and I layered two panels on top, one in black and one in buffalo check from the host DSP pack. For the Sentiment, I cut a piece of Basic White at 1 1/2 inches and then made it just long enough to get a grip for slicing up the center. To create the banner I cut up the center at 3/4 inch and cut from the bottom corner to the middle on each side. The longer you leave the tails the deeper the “V” that you get.

Next I did all my stamping. I stamped the flowers on my banner piece in real red and the sentiment in tuxedo black ink. For the Lady Bug, I stamped him in Tuxedo Black and used my Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the red. For the leaf, I used a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Spot, and because the winter has sorta dried my ink spot out, I used a blender pen to revive the color by grabbing a bit of ink and brushing it in. If you are interested in seeing this technique, I made this card on my Live this past Thursday on my Business Facebook page, you can check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063325234350

To adhere all the pieces down, I used a number of different adhesives. For the flat panels in the background I used Stampin’ Seal and layed them purposely cocky wompus ( that’s the official term right? 🙂 ) I also put the leaf down flat and only popped the bug and the sentiment up with Dimensionals. Thanks for checking out my card!
